Dastaan Indian Restaurant, Near Epsom, Surrey
Dastaan – my new favourite Indian restaurant in SW London. How have I lived here for so long and never been to this restaurant? We had a fabulous dinner here on Friday evening with our great friends Debbie and Mike.
Recommended by the Michelin Guide and with 2 AA rosettes, this very busy restaurant is run by Sanjay Gour and Nand Kishor, both with experience as Head Chefs at London’s Michelin starred Indian restaurant, Gymkhana.
This unassuming little restaurant near Epsom serves delicious traditional Indian food with a twist, bursting with flavour, melt in the mouth meat and lots of vegetarian options. We were spoilt for choice. We received speedy and attentive service with the added bonus of a great view of the kitchen – which I love! As well as catering for a full and busy restaurant, the kitchen also supplied numerous take away meals throughout the evening.

NB I love to eat out in all sorts of establishments from street food to 3-star Michelin restaurants. I am not a food critic. I am merely sharing with you what I like and writing about what I find when I am there. The views are all my own and I receive no reward, financial or otherwise
