Cream Cheese, Sweet Chilli and Coriander Dip
A layer of creamy, smooth and fluffy cream cheese, topped with a thick sweet and spicy chilli sauce and finished with a layer of light as a feather finely chopped, fresh coriander. So delicious. So addictive. So easy. So quick.
I first had this dip at my lovely friend Tracey’s house around 20 years ago! It really is so very good, so incredibly simple to throw together and is a dip I come back to again and again for pre-dinner nibbles, afternoon nibbles, in fact any nibbles! I generally have these ingredients at home so it is also a great dish to whip up if you have surprise guests. You can serve it with tortilla chips, breadsticks, crackers, carrot sticks, celery, cucumber, red pepper. Totally up to you.
I made it today to nibble on whilst we watch Wales V France – the Six Nations Championship 2020 is finally being finished after a 7 month hiatus due to COVID 19. I love the layers of colour which match the Welsh flag!🏴
How to make Cream Cheese, Sweet Chilli and Coriander Dip
Collect all your ingredients together:
- cream cheese
- sweet chilli sauce
- fresh coriander
Layer up:
You do not need any fancy pants equipment or ingredients. All you do is:
- Beat the cream cheese, by hand until smooth and slightly fluffy.
- Transfer to a clean serving bowl and level the surface
- Top with the sweet chilli sauce layer.
- Finish with a layer of chopped coriander.
I like to serve it in a glass bowl so you can see those fabulous colourful layers!
The quantities I have given below are how I like to eat it; try it and decide for yourself. Emma uses less coriander than me but I’m mad about the stuff so like a lot! As ever, the only right way to make it, is the way you like the best.

- 150 – 175g cream cheese
- 75g sweet chilli sauce
- 20g fresh coriander
Instructions

Collect together your equipment (see Recipe Notes below) and ingredients.

Beat the cream cheese, by hand, until smooth and slightly fluffy.

Transfer to a clean serving bowl and level the surface

Top with the sweet chilli sauce layer.

Finely chop the coriander.

Finish with a layer of chopped coriander.

Serve it with any or all of the following: tortilla chips, breadsticks, crackers, carrot sticks, celery, cucumber, red pepper. Totally up to you.
